Creative Healing Spaces

In today’s world, healing is a necessary part of what it means to be human and to live well and fully. Healing enables us to be our authentic selves, speak with courage, honesty and compassion, and meet each other with grace. Creative healing is a fundamental part of our work because it prepares us for the fun and hard work of community engagement.

There have been profound fundamental shifts over the course of the pandemic.  So many of us want to let go of old habits and mindsets that govern our personal lives and/or the organizations and institutions we work for that are unhealthy, limiting, and do not serve the common good.  We hold space for personal and organizational reflection, change, and transformation

Creative healing spaces are intentional gatherings that open pathways for resilience, renewal, and rebirth.

Through community, we can let go of old habits and mindsets and open our hearts and minds to opportunities for change and transformation.

We co-create and co-design creative healing spaces that become moments for community building which help navigate change and transitions with grace and ease.

Programs in Development

  • Retreats

    Retreats

Over the next year, we hope to start offering retreats that combine mindfulness, movement, and creative practice. Retreats are wonderful opportunities to pause and reflect on our lives, where we are, and where we want to go. Retreats can also be customized for teams and organizations to help with development, growth, and transformation.

  • Somatics

    Somatics

Over the next year, we plan to integrate the healing and generative power of somatic practice into our facilitation. Somatics is grounded in the inherent wisdom of our bodies. Integrating mindfulness and movement into facilitation we hope to draw out other ways of thinking, feeling, and knowing. There is also the possibility of collaborating with others to integrate dance and movement into program design as well as offer healing movement classes at local yoga studios and community centers.

  • Creative practice

    Writing and Creative Practice Workshops

This program uses writing and creative practice as a path for self-discovery, self-exploration, and self-expression. Cultivating our creative energy helps us connect to our inner voice and supports the dynamic processes of healing, renewal, and restoration of body, mind, heart, and spirit. In each workshop, we craft an intentional space for writing, creative practice (movement, painting, drawing), supportive listening, and mutual support.

Sample Creative Healing Space: The Container for Repair, Regeneration, Renewal, Reconciliation, and Rebirth

During the lock-down period of the pandemic, The container was a weekly space on-line that used using mindfulness, somatic exercises, short writing prompts, and creative practice.

Testimonials from people who participated in The Container:

Heang's virtual containers were a highlight of my week, and I always looked forward to them as a time to reflect, rest, and be in community. Heang is a warm, empathetic, and talented facilitator who encourages us to sense into our bodies and take creative risks. She created a comfortable and communal space for us to be together and practice repair and healing. I really loved taking part in these containers!

The Container felt fresh and unbounded.  Heang’s guidance and framework went beyond thinking about what to write, and rather sought how to write with feeling and intention - to explore.  I have also had the privilege of experiencing Heang’s own written work, which is so artfully and skillfully crafted that have been inspired to rethink how approach writing.
